Respring is in the top ten list of apps that I have installed on my iPod touch. "That's stupid," you say, "all it does is restart the Springboard." But restarting the Springboard solves the problem some people get where the touch screen works on the Springboard, but not when in an app. I get this problem all the time, usually after I reboot (by holding both sleep and home buttons). I used to just reboot a couple more times, and the problem would go away, but that took a lot of time. Respring takes just one touch and a couple of seconds. And it solves it the first time, every time. Pretty cool.

I've got this issue too, and like u, I've used Respring for a 1-touch solution, BUT I'm very concerned why this issue started appearing in the 1st place. Have u any clues?

This problem is because of the dock app.

Do you have any other program that runs in the background, like with a button of some sort? For example, something like capture or waves.

I used to have "Dock" installed, but since I never really used it, I uninstalled it. Come to think of it, I haven't had this problem since I uninstalled, and since I just force-rebooted yesterday, that might be it.

So u r suspecting uninstallation of Dock app fixed the issue, but ur recent force-reboot brought the issue back?
