I'm glad it wasn't called Freedom. Safari is much better.

I thought this article was going to explain the name. Instead it was more like "I remember the time we named our browser safari".

I'd like some "Freedom" in iOS.

Safari is a good name. Connotes exploration, discovery. As a web browser should.

Glad they didn't call it Freedom, Apple is anything but free, or freedom.
Why would you ever use Safari though. Firefox/Chrome are MILES ahead...
Safari Mobile Browser, is good, but the desktop version? No thanks.

I use Safari and Chrome side-by-side. I find Safari to be way better than Firefox ever was on my Mac, and Chrome isn't as great as many believe it to be, in my experience.
