The Grandest Hugest most Awesomest Review Ever! iFrogz, BestSkinsEver reviewed! I have recently talked to several companies like InCase, iFrogz, BestSkinsEver, MirrorFilm, Belkin, Griffin, etc, if they were willing to participate in a HUGE reveiw, done here, at iPoTfans.com. So far, I have receive approval from InCase, iFrogz, BSE, and MirrorFilm [Harmonic Inversion,] and am awaiting Belkin, Griffin, and one more company. The first case is HERE! and I am awaiting 3 more within the end of the week. Stay tuned! There will be several catagories, like skins, cases, pouches, ArmBands, etc. It hasn't been thought through yet, but it will happen! ~~~:Review #1- Best Skins Ever [BSE]:~~~ Packaging: The case came in a small box, roughly 8x7 inches, UPS delivery. It took just two days to arrive, so I was happy with that. Inside, I found: 2x Front Skin Sticker 2x Back Skin Sticker 2x Home Button Sticker 1 Appliance Paper 1 Price Paper, which stated that I had payed nothing by Visa...Hmmm. Last time I checked, 12 year olds don't have Visa Cards. 1 Envelope from the President, Mr. Herring, claiming his products are awesome, etc. So far, I'm quite happy. Let's go in for further information. Packaging/ Delivery: 10/10 Appliance: Now, when I went to the site, BestSkinsEver.com, I wanted to see how hard it would be to put onto my iPod. It looked simple enough. For a guy with fast fingers, and patience, it looked easy. I learned: NEVER TRUST THE FRICKEN SITE!111one1111eleven!!!1 There is a VERY good reason as to why there are 2 skins in the box. If you screw up the first one, you have a second chance. Now, I tried for 15 minutes to put it on, but I couldn't. The Stickiness of the Skin had worn off, there were wrinkles everywhere, more than my grandma, and...well....It sucked ass. So, I threw it away. I later tried again, and I more-or-less succeded. The 5 year old in the Indian sweat shop must have messed something up, because some parts of it weren't even proportionate. However, I was satisfied with the look of the BACK of the iPod. The front was made incorrectly, so I had to stretch it. It looks like a buffalo dumped on plastic, melted it, and then stickified it..... Appliance: 3/10 Looks: Although my iPod looks like a Buffalo's butt crack, it is passable in the style catagory. The back looks great, and it even sems as though my back plate is brand new, even though it has gashes, scratches, and bruises everywhere. Yay! The sides look shiny and sexy...Nuff Said? The front, however, has air bubbles which you can't get out, and teh touch screen is slightly confused....Must....recalibrate....The overall look is nice, similar to that of MirrorFilm, which I just got. Now I can look at myself and gaze at my iPod as well! Ok. Now I'm just writing junk.... Looks: 8/10 Safety: I tried scratching it. I tried breaking it. I tried throwing it. Result: No difference. My iPod is VERY safe and I love it...iClear never did that...I mean, it protected, but, over time, it got banged up. Plus, it was bulky. Dropping the iPod is not a concern here. It retains the looks, feel, and comfort of a regular, new, iPod touch... Safety: 9/10 Total: 10+ 3+ 8+ 9= 30/40 [BSE BestSkinsEver] rating= 75% Looks like its not the Best Skins ever.... _____~~~~____~~~~____~~~~____~~~~____~~~~____ Review #2~ iFrogz ~Packaging~ The iFrogz came in a cardboard box, about 8x 7x 5 inches. Inside, there was the following: 1x Red iWrapz Silicon Case 1x Black iWrapz Silicon Case 1x Black iTreadz Silicon Case 3x Invisible Shield Protectors I was overall very happy with the amount of cases I got, since I only asked for 1, and they generously gave me 3. Anyways, the packaging is nice, there were no difficulties opening the box....Ok, I'm just rambling. Packaging: 10/10 ~Appliance~ At first, I was hesitant how to put the iFrogz cases on, but, eventually, I found the guts to actually bend the case and slide it on. Worst 4 seconds of my life. If you were to buy one of these, you, too, would be nervous to put on such a beautiful creation. Otherwise, applying the shield was easy, as was the case. I did have some trouble putting on the red one, I'm not sure why...Basically, if you can pull your pants up when you take a whiz, you can put on this case. I guarantee it! If you can't pull up your pants, you're screwed, or you're a 2 year old with dead arms. Appliance: 9/10 ~Looks~ This portion will be divided for each case, the Treadz and Wrapz. ~~~~Treadz~~~~ The iTreadz looks great, both on and off your touch. On the front, there are holes for the home button and the light scope screen equalizer on the top left. Everywhere else, there is the same tiretrack looking design, with some curves here and there. The Screen is outlined with a higher line, with semicircles at each corner. On the side, there are diagonal lines, going from the bottom left, to the top right. In the middle, the word iFrogz is written in Space Age font (Sony Vaio). The Back is the same pattern as the front, except without the obstacle, the screen. Pleasant to the eye and finger. The On/ off button is completely protected; there is only a hole where the button is. Everything else is silicon. The Dock Connector side is the same idea, silicon, with holes where the cable and headphones go. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of logo, which I believe is neccesary. Apperance: 4/5 ~~~~iWrapz~~~~ a. Red: The red iWrapz must have been a mistake. Really. If you've ever seen Scary Movie 4, it like what Benda's baby looks like...Scary. The red color contrasts the Black and opaque of the touch COMPETELY. As an artist, I despise it. Also, the main thing I hate about the case is that it is a little too big. For example, I can't reach the home and off buttons very well. Imagine, you're browsing porn, and you're mommy comes, you have to quickly close the browser. The case prohibits that. It should be called 'The Punisher,' except made of rubber. The look of the Wrapz will be explained in the -Black- section. 0/2.5 b. Black: The black case already screams YAY after I took off the red one. The dimensions are still Frunked up, but, hey. At least you'll EXIT the browser, instead of being caught. The Front has accented, rounded edges on each side. At the bottom left, iFrogz proudly placed their frog sign. There is no design, except little dots on the sides, followed by holes for the light thing, and the home button. The screen side is accented by the semicircles, again. The side is quite cool. It reminds me of tightly chained fences, my favorite, for some reason; basically, diagonal lines closely intersecting. This pattern continues up and down. The power and the dock connector sideis smooth, and I had some trouble reaching the Off button. You'll get used to it. The back is very fashion forward. The bottom right has a huge version of the froggy, and says www.ifrogz.com. It also has a nice tapering curvey line, which I love to look at. It is nice, yes. Better than the red. 2/2.5 Looks: 6/10..Sorry guys at iFrogz. The red blew it. Durablity: This is a no brainer. Yes. The case is durable, and provides throwing fun for the whole family! Buy it, kids! 10/10 Overall: 35/40, or 7/8. Which is a 87.5%. This is a wonderful case. It is very durable, and can withstand heat (surprisingly), and simply blows my mind. For those of you sick of hard cases, you have to get the iTreadz or BLACK, not red, iWrapz. Harmonic Inverse next week! or so.
