ok. so this is gonna answer some of the questions that have been repeated in so many threads...

When is the jailbreak coming out?

we don't know... no ETA from either dev team

What is this about the dev team looking for a new exploit?

The current redsn0w (ARM7_go) exploit hit a dead end, meaning that they can't make it untethered. so they need to look for a new exploit.

does this mean that they will take forever to find it again?

no, not necessarily. they aren't completely dumping the ARM7_go exploit. they are dumping the bootrom of a 2g ipod touch that has the redsn0w patch active. then they look for an exploit within the exploit and hopefully this will let them make the jailbreak permenant.

Who is ahead in the race to find the jailbreak?

no one is ahead. they are at the same spot in the process.

Is Chronic dev and the Dev team working together?

no. not really. they are doing the same thing, and playing ideas off eachother.

    hope this helps....

Is there a possibility that redsn0w is the only exploit? D:

We could have one this Funday. A lot of the comments on the dev team point towards it.
