    Ipod touch 2g on 2.2.1
im using windows xp 32bit on laptop (if that matters)

I recently tried to jailbreak my itouch, i first tried a tethered jailbreak, which led me to a restore lLOOP( when after restoring your itouch, itunes asks you to restore it again). determined to fix it i then used quickfreedom, which again led me to the restore LOOP. i then used redsn0w which gets stuck in the "downloading jailbreak data screen, and after about 10 minutes it goes away and reboots, throwing me once again into the deathly claws of the restore LOOP
Now i tried the iboot tool to get me out of the LOOP, but it for didnt work for me for some reason it says it cant find the irecovery files

The loop will eventually come to an end, once it has ended, dfu restore to offical 2.2.1

The program I created works to get you out, but his computer won't run the program for some reason.

I don't know about other fixes but I've had this multiple times and the only way I have fixed it is by:

Uploading the usual ibss file via irecovery -f
then opening a shell with irecovery -s
    Then enter clearenv 1
    Then saveenv.

    Hope it helps.

First, learn what bricking an iPod means.

    Second, try running redsn0w again.

If that doesn't work, then try downloading a new 2.2.1 firmware from somewhere, then DFU Restoring your iPod with it.
