    Hi Guys.

I still haven't jailbreaked my iPod Touch yet, basicly because im afraid i'll f*** up somehow and the iPod wont work..
But now I've read a lot of threads and faqs and stuff, and it seems that its almost risk-free to jailbreak and if something goes wrong there is alwas a way to restore the iPod.

There's a lot of different ways of jailbreaking your iPod, and i wonder wich way is the best?
From what i understand there is 3 ways of doing it.
Doing like in this video: http://ipodtouchmaster.com/1.1.4_flash.html
    Or using iLiberty or ZiPhone.

If you do it like in ipodtouchmasters video, you have to restore the ipod to 1.1.4.
If you do that all my music and videos will be erased.
If you jailbreak using iLibert or ZiPhone, do you have to restore to 1.1.4 before jailbreaking or can i jailbreak right away and keep all my music and videos after jailbreaking?

    Notes:
Im using 1.1.4. I've never jailbreaked before. Im using Vista.

I think a lot of people could benefit from this thread. This could be like a summary of the best way of jailbreaking the iPod touch so far

I'd say iLiberty+ is the best option. As for restoring, you should always restore freshly before doing any jailbreaks, if you don't you can expect something bad to happen, and you'll likely end up restoring anyway.

ziphone 2.6 is the best way to jailbreak and for gods sake just jailbreak. It will positively not break your ipod.

just restore to 1.1.1 and do the www.jailbreakme.com

There is no way possible that you can mess it up, unless you start messing with Term-Vt but other than that, it should be fine.

Don't manually instal, Anything if you don't want to mess it up.

    You should be fine.

Mine would be to restore to a clean 1.1.4 and do the iLiberty+ method. I will never use Zibri's stuff again, had so many problems with it, on and off. Hey, like i said, my opinion, I am entitled to it, don't shoot me down.

I would just restore (you will automatically be on 1.1.4)
    Then download the new ziPhone
in under a minute you will be jailbroken.

no risk. no hassle. I can jailbreak like 50 ipods an hour this way, if i ever feel like it (i don't)

Ok, guys i just jailbreaked my ipod with the newest ziphone (2.6b thingy)..
when i watch ipodtouchmasters tutorial or read other tutorials i see that i have to find the BSD Subsystem 2.1, but i cant finde it in the system-folder. It only finds BSD subsystem 2.0. The iPod should update packages or something the first time you open installer, but mine doesnt :S
    What should i do?

EDIT: I just went in to sources and taped Refresh at the top left corner
