If you want Jailbroken iPod Touch Firmware (I think it adds the ability to add Calendar Events) these are the instructions. If you currently have firmware 1.1.2, you need to downgrade. Iff you have 1.1.1 already, skip the instructions for the downgrade. You will not lose any Music, Pictures, or any other Multimedia, but you will lose any previously installed apps from a jailbreak.

    To downgrade:
1.Download this file to your desktop.
2.Connect your iPod Touch to your PC or Mac.
3.If iTunes doesn't open, open it.
4.Select your iPod Touch from the bar.
5.Hold down the Shift key at the same time you click checkfor upgrade.
Note:On a Mac, hold the option key and press it.
6.Go to your desktop in the window and select the file you downloaded.
    7.Click Open.
8.Wait for the firmware to downgrade.
Note:I have heard that sometimes you get an error and that its fine.
    9.Your iPod tTouch will reboot.
Note:If you already had 1.1.1 start here.
10.Go onto your iPod Touch and into Safari. (Make sure you have a wireless network set).

o not close anything on your computer and don't disconnect the cable.
11.Go to http://jailbreakme.com on your iPod Touch.
12.Scroll Down to the bottom and Tap on Install AppSnap.
13.Safari will crash to the home screen.
14.Something will show up that says Downloadin and a few other things.
15.Unlock your iPod Touch after it locks.
    16. Go into the new Icon that says Installer.
    17.Scroll down to Tweaks (1.1.1)
    18.Tap on it.
    19.Find oktoPrep
    20.Tap on it.
21.In the top right corner, click install.
    22.Tap Install.
23.It will say to update to 1.1.2. Don't Yet.
24.After pressing OK, it wil go back to a list.
    25.Press the home button.
    26. Something will come up and the iPod Touch will lock.
    27.Unlock it.
28.Go onto your computer and click check for update in your iPod Touch's category.
    29.It will upgrade to 1.1.2.
Note:You may again recieve an error that usually means nothing.
    30.Your iPod Touch will reboot.
31.The installer app will be gone.
    32.Close iTunes.
    33.Terminate the process: iPodService.exe
34.Terminate the process starting with AppleMobileDevic
Note:Not sure how to do this on a Mac.
35.Go here and download the files.
36.Download the zip folder to your desktop.
37.Unzip or Extract the files using the default settings.
38.Go into the folder and double-click windows.bat (might just be windows)
39.Press Jailbreak and wait until it says to reboot yor iPod Touch.
    40.DO NOT CLICK OK.
    41. Hold the sleep button on your iPod Touch until it says slide to power off.
    42.Slide it.
    43. When it starts back up, unlock it if locked.
    44.Click OK on the program.
45.The program will close and your iPod Touch will reboot.
    46.You now have installer!
    Thats it.

I've done this proccess already using ipodtouchmaster's variouse youtube guides and the guide you made pretty much is to the point and clearly describes exactly what to do. If i was doing this for the first time following your guide i dont think i would have any problems. Five out of Five in my book. Kudos brotha!

So in ipodtouchmasters vid he goes to jailbreak.toc2rta.com but in this guide it says to go to jailbreakme.com, does it matter which one? If so, whats the difference? I hope thats not a stupid question, im just curious.

Lol, 46 steps may look a bit discouraging to newbies =P but still, an awesome guide, well explained and accurate :]

i did it last night on a mac, you dont need to close anything ..

if a warning message displays, unplug your usb lead, and just put it back in, if that doesnt work restart the .jar file, it should act as a fixer
