The Answer (KDE 4.2) has come to us!

    The Answer (codename for KDE 4.2) was released just yesterday. I just installed it and can't believe that I once used Gnome. Yeah, its that awesome. You can install instructions here. If you want to learn more about KDE 4.2 and its features, check out this. Hope you guys like it!

    Haha, nah, not on my computer. It boots faster then Gnome, i think. I also have a newer computer though...

    Personally prefer the *Boxes. Though Etoile looks promising.

    We're talking about window mangaers. KDE is a full desktop environment, with a panel and a filemanager with all of that jazz.

    A window manager just... manages windows. DWM is a tiling window manager. It makes sure all the windows take up even amounts of space on the screen and that no window covers up another window.

    I realize how sparse it looks. That is easily fixable.

    *boxes are classical window managers that do overlapping and give each window a status bar. They work like window managers you're used to, except they're faster and don't come packed with a bazillion features you don't need.


    I prefer tiling. When I used regular window managers, I used OpenBox.

    awesome will be awesome and openbox shall reside in a special place within my heart.
