    You dont need it stop making it worse by using it. i dont use it, u dont need to.

    Read and search what an hash tag is. It's better to use and people like ste or skylar will think so too, I think.

    Installer should make hash a required field... in fact, it IS a required field for Cydia and will most likely become a requirement in newer version of Installer. Hash is used to verify package is transferred correctly, so that things are deployed properly on your iPod / iPhone. You wouldn't want to upgrade your BSD Subsystem, for example, if it is incomplete or broken, as it will cause your entire iPhone / iPod to go unstable.

    There is no discussion for the importance of the hash field, and it should always be included. As such, thread is closed. Please do not start further threads such as this to confuse people.
