This is the BEST texting application by far.

I have came across one bug, however.
When I try to change the ringtone, the application crashes!
(This doesn't really matter to me, the Tri-Tone is my favorite anyways

While I'm posting in this thread, I have a few questions:

    1. How come the volume for the Tri-Tone is quiet? Are you prohibited from making it louder?
    2. Are you prohibited from making the chat bubbles look similar to Messages.app?
BeeJive has the same interface, so I thought it may be possible. But I don't know.
    2. What is coming in v3.3?

Awesome application, keep up the great work.
I've had texts send (from the iPhone) in about one second. Fast.

    Is there "in-app" texting?
And is this 100% free after buying - for ipods?
As in is there ANY stupid credits thing like bitesms or is it just a ONE time payment
as too inapp texting, i mean can you do like with iphone, reply and other stuff while doing other things, or is it like some texting apps where you have to sit in the app to text, more like a chat room?

If this is the case, then this is a feature i would really really really like you to implement

I am surprised to hear that the application crashes when you switch ringtones. We would definitely like to fix that bug when we find it. Does it crash when you preview the ringtone or crash when you press save?

As for the Tri-tone volume, the sound file was taken directly from Apple's default one. However, if it is too quiet, we can look into making it louder in the next update.

The chat bubbles currently look pretty similar to the Messages.app and Beejive. What do you want to see improved in the chat bubbles? We can definitely improve it for the next version.

3.3 will have bug fixes and UI improvements:
-Show date for individual messages in conversation
    -Improve the text input box
    -More ringtones, more backgrounds
    -Ability to copy messages
and more features to be decided/announced (we take feature requests as well!)
    ------------------double post merged------------------
-It works for iPods (as long as you have a wifi connection)
-It is 100% free after buying, not credits required AT ALL
-Sending can only be done in-app, but you get push notifications when you receive texts anytime

One Question I think it was asked in the last thread, but I cant remember. Do you get a "Phone number" like in textfree?

The app gives you your own @textnow.me texting address just like how textfree gives you a @textfree.us address. This is the address people can send you free texts to.

If you have Google Voice, you can use Textnow(guide link below) with your Google Voice number as well.

i just found a problem, i was tesxting some one, say his name is bob...when he txted me back it came up in a new conversation from a name of ().

and another problem is sometimes people dont get my texts, or it takes 5 mins to an hour for them to recieve it.

you should fix these bugs, and add out of app texting like "quicksms" for jailbroken ipods...where when you get the text you can respond right there in the pop up, and start a new messege. if you can put this in their, then i GUARANTEEE that you will be the number one app in the app store...forever...lol....i would pay 20 dollars for that, no joke...would this be possible? if not for the normall ipod, then maybe the jailbroken ipod.

Can you send me your username to derek at enflick dot com? I will try to see what we can do about that bug and the delays.

As for the quicksms feature, we will look into it. We haven't step foot in the jailbroken world yet, but definitely we'll consider.
