    I'm not sure if iOS 4 on an iPhone 3G comes with the tethering setting already (mine didn't) but if you have an iPhone and want to tether your internet over usb or bluetooth just SSH to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app and edit N82AP.plist and add
    Code:
    <key>tethering</key>
    <true/>
    I'm sorry if this was already known but i searched to activate it and could not find it all day so I worked on it myself and found this. Just trying to save people in my situation some time.

    The setting is under Settings>General>Network>Internet Tethering

    If you're in the U.S, do you have to set it up with AT&T?

    I'm on T-Mobile with an unlocked iPhone 3G.

    You seriously have to ask AT&T to tether your iPhone? Thats gay.
