Well I have a 3.1 3G S and I went and attempted installing the mobile config file you find at http://help.benm.at/help.php to enable tethering on 3.0. According to articles and event he site it self, it only works on 3.0 and that the way has been patched for 3.1. For some reason though, it's still working on my 3.1

Were'd you get this magical number ?.?

Last i heard, the rummer was $10 extra, and you can do it long as you don't use it too much. Basically, use it as often as you want at your own risk, and 3.1 has a tethering counter, so you can look on that to keep track.
