I just bought myself a ipod touch a couple days ago. My friends told me to jailbreak it. And since its a 3G 8GB ipod touch, I read it can be jailbroken But only with tethered as it not fully jailbroken yet.

So i must ask. Is it worth it? What can a jailbreak truly do with a iPod touch?

Then you have nothing to worry about. Just remember, if it ever shuts off on you, re run blackra1n to turn it back on.

Awesome. Jailbroke is seconds. I like that.

Now whats the best theme application. Is there one needed?

I installed Rock as my app manager thingy. When installing winterboard it looks like it froze.

There are loads of themes available, you can try any1. I personally dont install any themes, just the fonts, icons etc., so I can use my wallpaper.

If rock doesnt work for u, try cydia. This is more stable than rock.

its worth it. there are really no downsides, and even the ones that there are ( i have seen complaints of running more slowley) is compensated for by different apps in cydia
