I don't have a 2G, so I don't really read those things that much, but I think it's like..
One of them is: If you turn off your iPod Touch 2G, too boot it up, you need to connect it to your computer.
The second one is: You can turn it off and boot it up, but the jailbreak will disappear.
^ I'm not sure about these, but... Watch the video on the home page of iPTF of google it!!!
But Why?? You have a 1G!
tethered requires you to be connected to your computer to boot your device
semi tethered means you can boot without a computer, but it is without jailbreak functionality
I think on semitethered, your jailbreak apps remain the same and all but the processor blocks them as unsigned code and you won't be able to launch them...that is, after a restart.
