hey guys i dont have an ipod touch yet, but there is no way i am not getting one after i became a member of this site. i have an ipod video 5.5 g 30 gb right now and was amazed at how i had managed to make it play gameboy games (iboy through ipl). I am currently marveling at the vastness of what you can do with the touch. so i am currently wondering, What makes the touch such a perfect piece of hardware to do what the people of this community are doing? (tech specs please) how does it have the power to run what it can, while the older generations of ipods pretty much max out at just being able to play gameboy games?

plz post your opinions and views

Normally, on the weekends, I drink myself stupid. It just so happens that this weekend, I am staying in. Next weekend too. Let's just hope JailBreak 1.1.2 is released by then.

how come the flash memory chip is listed as 32 GB?? as of right now there is only an 8 GB and 16 GB variety. i have my suspicions that a 32 GB version will be available in the first quarter of 08 though (just a hunch)

    It's 32 Gigabit; that equals 4 GigaBytes.

    never exact

I was shocked when the 16GB iPod Touch is actually 14.6GB. Just like my MacBook. not 120GB, but 111.5GB.

as well as shocked to find that my 1.6 GHz processor was actually 1.73 GHz

PS: and btw, the tech specs on that page are wrong. the CPU is actually rated at 400 MHz wit a 100 MHz bus, and it has 128 MB of ram.
