Hello, I'm in a serious spot of bother with my Cydia application that I have built.

Please Register or Log in to view images

I have created an application called "Tap Tap Revenge: VIP". I have had permission by Ed (Tapulous staff) to create the application without it being illegal. This has been done by using one of their Tap Tap engines and hosting only "copyleft" music inside the application.

I have been working on this app for over 5 months now, and it is finally complete. Although, I have hit a major problem:

When TTR: VIP is installed by the ModMyi.com repo or even my repo, the application doesn't show the icon on the springboard after download and installation. It is extracted into "/Applications" and I think the problem is that the application cannot execute in that directory.
So I now believe that the application must be extracted into "/var/mobile/Applications/XXXXX-XXXX-XXXXX" and to have the folders:

    - Documents
    - Library
    - tmp

with it for it to show on the Springboard.

Any of you guys got an idea to help me out? This has been a huge problem for me for about 6 days solid. Cheers in advance.

You were right the first time... It should go in /Applications. Not the one for directory for App Store apps.

Yep; we believe it is not the package that is wrong, the permissions were set to 755 on the DEBIAN folder and the control file.

Yet after that, and after many resprings and reboots, we see no icon.

But wouldn't this application need the folders I mentioned in my original post? I tested this out with MemoryInfo, I moved the .app into the "/Stash/Applications" directory and rebooted. Still no icon.

Not as simple as that, its found as a fan-based application for the Tap Tap VIP clan. Besides, my situation of "Can not and can do" is alot better in perspective than my friend Trevor Nogaard's "Tap Tap Metallica: Reloaded", that was containing illegal copyrighted music inside the application. 60 of them and more? Not only that, if it was illegal, how would I have got the application up on http://www.modmyi.com?

So yes, I did get permission, and I have evidence of course.

Now, this is where I got a little confused.
I'm using MyRepoSpace and when I upload a application, it adds a ID to it. The CFBundleExecutable is "com.tapulous.taptapradiation" so I thought that the identifier had to be the same in the control file:

    Package: com.tapulous.taptapradiation
    Name: TapTapRevengeVIP
    Version: v1.0.4
    Architecture: iphoneos-arm
Description: The first ever custom TTR!

Cheers mate, I have sent you the email consisting of the .app of the application. I do believe it is not the packaging of the application, but the application itself.

I have tested the app before, I used to use the .ipa method of installing it. It worked that way.
