    Hi there

I would love to see a Syslog monitor app for the iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. Even better would be a generic UDP/TCP traffic monitor or network sniffer.

Is this possible? It seems such a simple idea given the plethora of other portscan and network apps I'm surprised one doesn't exist.

What do you mean by syslog "monitor"? It's possible to have a syslog, just look it up in Cydia, it's on saurik's source.

Apparently, with WiFi Sync, you can deploy to the device, which would probably mean that you can see the output generated, via WiFi.

    I can't confirm this though.

I haven't jail-broken my iPod, so I don't think your suggested app will work?
By syslog monitor, I mean an app that will for example display the syslog messages that my router outputs via UDP to a specific address and port. The same principal could be applied to any data messages. Better would be a packet sniffer such as Wireshark for Windows.
