Syncing Problems

    Hey guys, could you please help me out with this?? I'm having problems syncing with itunes 7.6. Absolutely nothing happens when i connect my ipod touch when itunes is running. Plus since i have itunes 7.6 now i can't downgrade to 7.5 which seemed to be just fine. Anyways ran some diagnostic tests on itunes and here's what i came up with.

    Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
    Acer Aspire 5100
    iTunes 7.6.0.29
    QuickTime 7.4
    CD Driver 2.0.6.1
    CD Driver DLL 2.0.6.2
    Apple Mobile Device 1.1.3.26

    Current user is an administrator.
    The current local date and time is 2008-01-23 02:05:03.
    iTunes is not running in safe mode.

    you might have to stop the ipod service. I read on apple somewhere on how to do it, can someone post a link?
