I've noticed that when you sync pictures in iTunes, it reduces both the size and the quality (by increasing compression) of your images. Is there any way to increase size and quality? Can I drop some pics right into the Touch via WinSCP at their full size and compression settings?

I have the same problem - the only reason why I purchased a touch is to use it as a portable portfolio, but this issue is ruining that - I am slowly festering some major negative feelings towards this device and itunes!!!

Only thing I've found is to use PhotoBoard and drop images in there manually. It's kinda slow loading the images but they remain unchanged in size or compression, as long as you don't mind having to manipulate them like a Surface computer.
