I have an itouch and I bought hubby an ipod nano for Fathers day. I wanted to load it with music and photos before I give it to him, and my question is about syncing two devices to the same computer. When I hook the nano to my macbook, will it recognize a different device? Then will I be able to put music on his nano without messing up what is on my itouch?

    Thanks!

You can manage multiple iPods on the same computer. They will be recognized as different devices. You could even set them to sync different playlists (your spouse may not want all of your tracks and whatnot). You can also set either device to manually manage music, allowing you to drag and drop what you want exactly.

    Good luck.

EDIT: Whatever settings for music syncing you have for the nano, they will not affect the iPod touch in any way.
