I have had a variety of Ipods and I have loved each of them in their own way. One of my favourite featres was when synchinf the Shuffle, you could choose to randomly fill it with songs from a specified playlist. You could also limit the amount of space you wanted to use when filling...

So, I have now ordered myself a new Iphone (will it replace my Ipod Touch, I don't know - probably not!). Now rather than create a new playlist to add songs to the limited space, I was hoping that I could randomly fill it from an exisiting playlist - like I can the shuffle.

Does anybody know if this is possible?

    Many thanks,

iTunes will give you the option to create a random playlist if you have more music than capacity on your iPhone.

It is not quite the same as the Shuffle but the outcome is the same.
