    Complete Ipod newbie here.

I bought a 2nd hand Ipod Touch 32g, now I am wondering about my Itunes music Library?
I have ripped just about all my cd's onto it, but when I go to 'synch' it it says I will lose all the music already on the Ipod, I want to keep this.

Is there anyway of keeping what's on there and adding all my new music?

    Any help much appreciated!

    unfortunately, apple doesn't allow that
it's either clean off the music on the ipod or no sync at all

my suggestion is to take the music out of the ipod using usb-based software "diskaid" (must be jailbroken in order to access root)
use it to go into where your music is, which is /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music
in that folder, you'll see a lot of folders, starting from F00
inside each of those folders are the music
copy them to your desktop and add it to itunes and itunes will just recognize all the information of the music automatically

    hope this helped

If you're using a mac, try using Senuti.
I'm not quite sure what a PC program is, but I know they exist.
