Hi there, I am new to the forum and have a question for you guys/gals.

I bought my niece an iPod Touch for Christmas and I want to open it and put a movie on it for her, here fav, High School Musical of course.

I have complete the MPEG4 transfer and now assume I have to sync the iPod with Itunes.

Will syncing on my PC mess anything up for when she gets it Christmas and syncs it with here PC?

    Thanks for looking.

If you sync media on the iPod in your computer, any sync she does on hers would erase whatever you put on it.
Try a portable drive or something to get the movie on the computer on which the iPod will be synced at.
It will NOT mess up the iPod in anyway.

Yeah, As fear said... When she sync's it it will be erased so just put it onto a memory stick, Put it on her computer and do it... Or just wait till xmas day and do it then.

Thanks for the help. Well, the movie is on an external HD right now, I guess I could drag that up to here house Christmas day or just burn the movie to a disk then rip it from here house, then sync here iPod.

    Thanks for the help all!

    Have a merry Christmas.

you can of course sync with as many computers as you wish, but only manually, and in a single direction.

i sync music and film to my Touch from 5 different computers. but again, it's manual syncing. that way i choose what gets synced and i dont loose anything.

So if I do from my PC manual, what happens with she hooks it up to her PC?

I had a iPhone a while back and did everything manual.

    Thanks for all the help.

Everyone have a safe and merry Christmas.

Oh yeh, after browsing the directions for the iPod Touch, I noticed the Wi Fi. Does that mean free, full internet anywhere with Wi Fi? Internet browsing just like my old iPhone?

If that is true, I am going to get one asap. I got my niece's Touch for 215.00 (8 GB) at Amazon, is there a better deal out there or maybe one to come?

Thanks again, you guys/gals are the best!

Don't forget that you are going to need to convert the movie to MP4. I suggest you use Any Video Converter Free Version, unless you no how to do this and I just waisted your time.
