I want to get another ipod touch 2g...one with a larger capacity (4 gigs don't do it for me). I don't want to carry around two ipods.

I have a LOT of notes on the one I have. I also have the calendar filled for the next four years and beyond (can you tell I depend on it?).

Is there a way I can sync the two together to zap all the junk from the old to the new? I can't even sync my notes to the COMPUTER, so I think I'm asking for the impossible....but I thought I'd give it a shot, anyway.

    No its not possible.

Why can't you sync with your computer?

It would be so much easier to just make a backup then have your new one restore from that backup.

There is no 4 GB 2nd Generation iPod Touch.

    Only 8, 16, 32.

But I can't see how notes and calendar can even be backed up to the computer, unless I'm missing something. I have to scroll wayyy down to see all the note titles. I depend too much on this device.

That's why I thought there's be a way to hook up the two and suck all the information from one ipod to the other...

Something tells me that's not going to be possible.

You connect your iPod to iTunes then right click on your iPods name then press backup and it backs up all your settings and notes and contacts. Then with your new ipod just restore from the first iPods backup.

By golly, I guess I DO have an 8 gb ipod. Whooohooo! I have twice what I thought! I'm so happy!

    Still...it's not enough.

Hey, thanks! As long as it works, I won't question why the notes can't be viewed on the computer, edited, then resynced to the device again.

Hey...are they coming out with another ipod touch version soon? Maybe I should wait until that comes out before I buy another
