I dont know about other people but I can sync my iphone 3g to my mac and pc with sync music and apps. For some reason it started doing this a few months ago but when I first got the iphone it did not allow me to do this.

I don't want to discourage you too much, but I've never heard of a case where people have been able to sync across the same account on two computers. Although, I have heard of a situation where you can sync apps using different itunes accounts on multiple computers. idk, good luck.

In iTunes try going up to File and then click Transfer Purchases.
