symlink in 1.1.4

    how can i make a symlink to my apps in 1.1.4. i cant use bosstool because that creates a symlink to var/root and i need it in var/mobile.
    help would be appreciated

    yep. that shouldnt matter though, rite. i mean my itouch now uses mobile not root

    it still uses root.

    there is a symlink you can use in installer or i can give you the command you need.

    i appreciate the help but bosstool doesnt work because my itouch now uses the legacy mobile. the only soft upgrade to use the legacy root was natetrue's (i think). all i'm looking for is how to create a symlink for my apps to var/mobile

    move your Applications folder to your mobile folder and then type this in some ssh program after logging into your ipod:

    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Applications /Applications

    EDIT: posted for a different symlink last time, so i changed it

    i dont think u understand what im trying to do. my apps are currently in their normal directory which is/Applications and i'm trying to move the to var/mobile/Applications to leave more space. i think the right command is ln -s /Applications var/mobile/Applications but im not sure

    SSH into your iPod and type this:

    cp -R /Applications /var/Applications
    rm -rf /Applications
    ln -s /var/Applications /Applications

    That should do it
