Well it's not exactly the spinning wheel of death cause it stops eventually, but I've been getting it every time i turn my touch off. It lasts for some time before finally shutting down. Anyone else?

Mine shows the wheel for about thirty seconds every time I shut it down as well.

    it depends.

It seems like if I do a lot to my iPod before I shut it down, (for example, install apps that require a restart, uninstall lots of things, change lots of things around), it shows the spinning wheel for a longer period of time than if I just turn on my iPod, and power it off shortly after without modifying a lot of things.

I've never gotten 30 seconds, though. The longest it's taken for me is about 10 seconds, and that is very rare.

every time you turn it completely off it is supposed to have that wheel for about 10 seconds maybe a little longer so its normal

wait for it (minutes- i had the issue) or force shutdown. No harm done.
The longest I had was 2 1/2 minutes

sometimes mine does that. its like hitting "shutdown" on a computer- it cant do it straight away. it has to do things first.
