    Hi everyone!

I've just ordered an iPod Touch 8GB that will hopefully be delivered sometime this week, and I thought I'd buy some scratch protection beforehand, as I don't want any scratches on it. I've seen how badly scratched they can get...

However, I was wondering. The only "shields" I can find in my local PC store, are for the 2G. "Zagg InvisibleSHIELD iPod Touch 2nd Gen Full Body" and "SwitchEasy Pure For iPod Touch 2G - Protect". Do these work for the 3G as well? If they do, which one should I choose? The InvisibleSHIELD one, or the SwitchEasy Pure one?

    Thanks!
    Ron

I used the Zagg 2g on my 3g Touch. It worked perfectly. I thought these were way overpriced until I put it on the Touch. Best investment ever.

PURE is just a screen protector w/o a back cover
you should get BodyGuardz instead of IS if you want a back cover

BG has back only option (i actually like static screen protectors better) and comes w/ 2 protectors by default and also has lifetime warranty coverage is also supposed to be slightly better

I would get the invisibleSHIELD if I were you. Virtually scratch proof and feels great. Also, if you buy your shield from your local store, you can register it on Zagg's website to get the lifetime warranty (which covers any possible damage that could come to your shield).

The only thing I don't like about the invisibleSHIELD is the pain of putting it on. It takes a LOONG time...but when installed correctly, it's well worth it

I would get none of the above.
