Currently, I have the Contour Design Showcase for the iPod Touch 2G.

I am planning to purchase a NeoTouch, but I can't decide on which color to choose.

Here is a list of my likes and dislikes about each of them.

    White:

    Likes
    - It is very bright, so it stands out.
    - The membrane is thicker than the black one. (So I've heard.)
    - It would catch more people's attention than black.

    Dislikes
    - The I-Frame can get dirty easily.
    - The white color does not match with the black color of the iPod Touch.

    Black:

    Likes
    - The black color matches very well with the black color of the iPod Touch.
    - The black design looks very sleek, and smooth.

    Dislikes
    - It doesn't stand out.
    - The color seems very dull, compared to the white.
    - The membrane is thinner than the white membrane.

My question is, has anyone ever owned BOTH colors?
If so, which color did you prefer the most and why?
What didn't you like about the other color?

People who only own one color of the case are welcome to post what they like and dislike too.

    Thanks.

Well, on the black one, the I Frame can get a bit loose after a while.
Hasn't happened to my brother's white case yet.

The white does get dirty pretty easy. But it has a much better Membrane.

I got the black Neo, since it doesn't get as dirty, and as long as you're careful, you won't rip the Membrane. I've taken mine off a few times so far without tearing it at all.

I have both colors. I prefer the white because it stands out, has better protection, and doesn't get as dirty as one might think. It has attracted very little dirt and when it does, it is easy to get off. The black one ironically attracts more dirt such as dust that is more noticeable on the black case.

The black is sleaker, but the white is more eyecatching, provides good protection, and surprisingly handles dirt and dust well. Definitely get the white case. People are jealous of mine.

Well, the white I frame can get stained pretty easy. And it's not hard to wipe off the dust on the black.
They both provide about the same protection.. The white is only a little thicker. It's not going to make much of a difference.

I say go with the black. I don't see the importance of "standing out".

If you have any chance of staining your iPod, then you probably aren't responsible enough to even have one. I mean seriously, what would you stain your iPod with? Be responsible.

dunno. I'm just saying, you might accidentally drop something on it.

I just heard that if you use the case for a long time the dirt/sweat from your hands eventually discolor the I-Frame. I'm not sure if that is true though, I just need someone to confirm it. I'm sure it does, but does it discolor it enough to bother you? Usually if play games for a long time, my hands get sweaty.

How long have you had your NeoTouch?

The NeoTouch has the SwitchEasy logo sticking out in the back. It really sucks that I can't just set it down without having it spin.

Other than that, it's pretty good.
