Okay, so basically I'm getting an iPod Touch 3G around the end of this month. I was expecting to buy a case, from SwitchEasy, so I roamed over to their site. Then when I went to 'Products' I noticed there was not a 'iPod Touch 3G' option, so I was wanting to know if the 2G Cases are the same/compatible with the 3G. So are they?

Yep, all 2G cases are compatible with 3G iPod Touches. But, from my understanding, the auto brightness sensor is in a different position, so the auto brightness feature may not work properly if it is being blocked.

Yep lol, you can just disable it in Settings. Plus, since you're getting the Colors case, it won't be a problem since it doesn't cover the top section of the iPod's screen.

false, the 3rd gen sensor is like just slightly below the chrome bezel and the Colors case covers 1/2-3/4 of the sensor
