Is there a way I can get apple to switch my MC model iPod touch for a MB model or possible upgrade my 8GB to MC model to a true 3g 16GB?

And also if I were to delete the springboard or media daemon, and take my iPod into apple, would they know it was jailbroken, instead of having a software issue?

I'm just don't feel like waiting for a 4.0 jailbreak for mc models and there isn't really any difference between a 8gb MB model and a 8gb MC model.

I think they would notice you were trying to jailbreak, as if you went in and said.. 'Hey, can i switch from MC to MB?' They'd be like WTF.

If there was a way to do this manually, without much experience that would be a-ma-zing.

Yea that would be a little weird unless you could come up with a good story. But I wonder if you "trade up" to a 16 GB 3g by tradeing in your old iPod and some money, I might have to try that. But if you could some how downgrade the bootrom itt would be amazing.

You can downgrade, but it takes some technological mind. Search on the threads.. iOS4 3.1.3. It will come up with downgrading solutions.

No I mean the actual bootrom. The thing that prevents us from jailbreak the ios 4 on MC models is because they have a new bootrom. But if you could downgrade the bootrom(I doubt this is possible) to th MB model boot rom then you could theoryoredicly jailbreak the ios 4 on a MC model.

Not iOS 4 multitasking, but you can use proswitcher/backgrounder.
