Yea so, I think I have been hit with the infamous summerboard swod. all i did was change a theme and SWOD!!! Just posting to make sure there is no other option than to restore. I will most likely upgrade to 1.1.4 and use Liberty to jailbreak. If you want to try to convince me to do otherwise have at it. I am almost 100% positive I have to restore, so I don't care much from there.

EDIT: I fixed it!! read on to see how!

Try deleting summerboard.app from your (var)/applications folder.

Yea, deleted that, reinstalled it, deleted the last theme i put in there, put it back in, deleted apps until i had 75...i tried many things with no luck...I want to try one more thing but need this file converted so I can read it with wordpad, so if anybody want to do that I would appreciate it.

no, that doesn't work. notepad and wordpad can't read these binary files, they must be converted.

yea...my ipod is caught in the endless cycle of SWODs where it reboots about every 3 minutes only to have the swod again. that's kinda what I want to do with the converted file. I am going to tell summerboard to use a different theme manually.

sorry for this in advance but

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THAT WORKED!!!!!!!!!

I may have just solved the summerboard swod looping problem. good news. so I converted the com.apptap.SummerBoard.plist file and edited the theme name to one that I know works, and voila, fixed!
