what to use?
is there a page where you can preview themes and stuff?
no preview page, but it is easy enough to apply the theme and then have ur springboard reset and see the results
i am using both, customize for icon rearrangement, and summerboard for everything else
i was just about to get to hack customize for my ipod, what steps did u follow?
i dont know, tried installing Customize now, but when im loading it up (the spicey kicken) it kicks me out to the springboard?!
head over to the customize thread
no more summerboard for me
i deleted the springboard.plist file, and iPod died XD Please Register or Log in to view images

agreed, the customize forum tells you nothing because no one can agree
customize worked fine for changing pictures and text of the ipod, then there was an update a day ago, and now it doesnt do anything, so i just got rid of it. It loads teh spicy chicken site and kicks me back, it worked fine b4 the update, so obviously the update effed it up, too bad too because it was funny changing the slide to unlock message to say "f*** off" haha.
i got customize working.
in the customize thread, there is a "customize" file that is Hexed.
i downloaded that and replaced it with the one on my iPoT
it did not work. i needed to change all the files under the folders to permission 755, and it did work!
now i can re-arange my icons..
next step is getting Summerboard
didnt work for me, same problems as you optikalefx, what i did find out is how i can personally reorganizing the twelve iphone/ipod touch native apps
i noticed that the plist in the sprinboard app called N45AP.plist under /System/Library/CoreServices controls this
what you need to know is all the com. watevers to be able to do this
if you already have summer board installed, all of them should be there except for stocks and possibly mail, but i have mail in my dock so that shouldnt matter.
the point is that i also know the one for customize, as supplied in the thread, is
so i know its possibly to manually sort all of your custom apps but i just cant find where these com.... are located, so that leaves me pretty much guessing on all my custom apps, when i put the spicy chicken one in, sure enough customize comes to the top
any idea how to find launchdaemons for the other custom apps?
Separate names with a comma.
