    Hi

    As you guessed I own an ipod Touch 2G currently running the 2.2.1 firmware. I have been reading around the net regarding the new ipod touch/iphone 3.0 firmware, but haven't been able to find an exact list of which feature I will get for my ipod if I upgrade to 3.0.

    I know there will be copy/paste and pear-to-pear networking for playing games, but nothing more

    Anyone has a link for an exact list of feature the Ipod touch 2G will get with 3.0 firmware??

    I would love to be able to use bluetooth headphones and if they activated the supossedly FM radio part of the Broadcom chip inside the ipod. Any news on that?

    Thanks

    Yeah i'd like to know about that Fm radio thing too. Or maybe the chip can only do blue tooth. Or apple are waiting for their next firmware release.

    lol, pear-to-pear... its peer. and there is gonna be some (limited) connection with bluetooth, some stereo headsets work, others don'. The fm radio still isn't being activated. there's alos landscape mode for all the default applications and you can now sign into youtube, shake-to-shuffle, and the in-app stores. im psyched for livefire!

    EDIT: found it. just take out the obuviously-iphone ones.

    Can we then assume that the ipod touch will get all the new features in OS 3.0 (minus phone and camera related updates). ???

    If the bluetooth stack is good enough then can we sync our bluetooth mobiles with the touch?

    thanks for the link! =)

    Out of all the listed features, I'm only interested in

    • [*]Cut, Copy & Paste;
      [*]Search function in music;
      [*]Stereo A2DP bluetooth;
      [*]Device-to-device bluetooth;
      [*]Bluetooth unlock for 2G iPod touch;
      [*]In-app purchases;
      (I hate it when my game closes to launch the app store with NO WARNING)
      [*]iTunes account creation; (always having to type in my password is annoying)
      [*]Upgraded Youtube.app - subs, accs, ratings; (having access to my favourites and playlists is good)
    • Send multiple photos by email;
    • WiFi hotspot auto login;
    • Proxy support; (Not too sure of this, is it to detect if another iTouch is nearby?)

    Spotlight search function; <- I was hoping it would search apps like QuickGold does, but apparently it doesn't. I also hope the voice memo doesn't have a length restriction. I like to sing and I like to record myself singing, so it would be great if the iTouch has a voice recording feature of AT LEAST 5 minutes per recording.

    Lol, I have no idea why you had to quote Waffle2jazz for your bluetooth question instead of posting a thread reply. No offense meant, I merely found your choice of quote a little amusing.
