I've managed to make a successful connection of bluetooth with my my ipod touch 2g.Some screenshots below.
[UPDATE] It can't connect unfortunately. It says its taking too long to connect but i don't think this is relevant. The fact that my computer is even able to find my ipod is probably the most important thing.

That is not proof at all. The picture on the iPod is what has been released for about a month now. Not only that, no where in there is a mac address. The bluetooth manager would pick up your device as a mac address, not as a media player.

To make this even worse, me and xlr have already had a method on how to make the device discoverable for a long time now. It's been released.

I agree with you that this is most likely false info, but the device would send out a iPod Touch (or media player ID) and device manager would pick that up.

if you want to do something with it, i used this file. I don't know were i got it, but it was somewhere on ipod touch fans.

I found that the bluetooth address is 00:22:41:89:55:a4.

    instructions:

    1. SSH into ipod touch.

    2. Go to /System/coreservices/springboard.app/

    3. Backup n45ap.plist

    4. Insert new n45ap.plist provided

    5. On ipod go to settings/general/bluetooth and click on

    6. Bluetooth should be on if not sorry

    btw im using tethered jailbreak

Ya you didn't do anything. That doesn't enable bluetooth, that enabled the bluetooth GUI.

We got this far about a month ago see this is not the right direction so this won't work.
