Well, Since I rarely use my iPod touch now... The battery has ran out so when I charge it, it just gets stuck on reboot. I have it jailbroken with 4.0.1 I think... Anyways I need some help.

You need to put it into DFU mode and restore. Search around to find how to get into DFU mode, there are many many tutorials around. Then restore. If you have your SHSH blobs stored for 4.0.1 great, point your hosts file to Cydia or a localhost (again, many tuts around), then restore to the 4.0.1 firmware. If you don't have SHSH codes stored you will have to restore to 4.0.2. Though if your profile info is correct you should be able to jailbreak it with redsn0w anyway.

Are you sure? I think that's a little drastic for a battery drain. Does iTunes recognize it?

There's no such thing as 4.0.1 for ipod touch. Its probably on 4.0 jailbreak. If its an MB model you can jailbreak on any firmware so you don't have to worry about your SHSH Blobs

I thought in his first post the bit around being stuck in the boot loop was more important than him charging the battery

After 2 days of being stuck on Reboot it finally went to Safe mode. I don't like 4.0...
