Stuck on - Please wait 45" - ziPhone

I have tried to perform three different ziPhone jailbreaks since yesterday. Starting with the command line one to the GUI one. I have even tried it on different computers. It will start and I will get Please wait 45". When I enable verbose I see a BSD line that loops over and over forever. When I try to restart my iPod it just sits at the Apple logo. The only way to get out of it is to force it into recovery mode and restore back to 1.1.3. I gave up earlier and went back to the soft jailbreak. Has anyone been able to figure this out? I keep reading it on different threads. I figure we can all come up with a solution on a specific thread rather than go fishing in different ones.

My current theory is that this effects only 16GB iPods.

    Can anyone prove me wrong?

I'm in the same boat and to top it off i can't even get my touch back into recovery mode. All a get is the BSD root line over and over again.

Ok good, I was hoping this was not the case.

Hopefully we can find a fix.

Has anyone had the BSD root problem and then been able to get it working trying again and doing something different?

Just to be sure you used the ZiPhone jailbreak method right Teslanaut?

I have a 16GB purchased early October. I am able to restore back to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 using DFU.

With ZiPhone, you're supposed to be on the 1.1.3 Firmware.

Anyone have the BSD root problem on a 8GB iPod touch?

I was on 1.1.3. Ive restored back to 1.1.3 like 10 times until I finally gave up and went back to 1.1.3 the soft way. What im saying is that I had to use DFU to go back down to 1.1.1 to jailbreak everything over again.

Ok. i was finally able to get the touch into DFU (think i was holding on to the power button to long) and i restored it back to the apple version of 1.1.3.

    Thx
