stuck on black screen with white writing

    i tried to jailbreak my ipod touch 1.4 following a utube video using ziphone. ziphone says to turn off the ipod if it takes more than 3 min so i did. i now see the apple logo follwed by black screen with white writing. neither my i tunes or ziphone recocnize my ipod. what can i do???????????????????????????????????????????

    Did you press the Jailbreak iPod Touch button? And did you get any type of error messages? Also, could we get a link to this video you followed?

    did it get stuck on Bsd root?

    That's prolly what happened, just restore it and re-jailbreak it.

    Hold power and home button

    When it's off, just hold the home button until you can see the connect to iTunes logo, rejailbreak and you're good to go.

    Try and use ziphone 2.5c that's the one that i used, or use Winpwn, either one is good

    Well, not so much ziphone, just... it's easy and kinda works.

    If it's not the BSD root error, just let it run, and it will jailbreak your iPod. lol.

    You absolutely do not need to do a restore with a BSD error. Next time use 2.6b. You can get it from my idisk.

    this same thing is happening to me but my ipod isn't showing up in Itunes so i can restore it..any other options?

    The same thing happened to my. I just forced a restart by pressing home and sleep then turned it back on. I did it a couple of times and the writing went away.
