I recently Jailbroke my friend's iPod touch 2nd generation using Quickfreedom and about 3 weeks later it went into safe mode. My iPod touch 1st generation does this all the time and I just slide the top and click restart. But for his restarting doesn't work. It's like the button doesn't really do anything after it reloads.

    Turn it off
Press Home ad Power for 5 seconds to boot.
    Let go
Hope it works, it's a hard reset, but it doesn't delete anything

He just said that he tried it already.

So, it just booted back into Safe Mode?

He might have messed something up on his SpringBoard. Ask him what he did to make it go into safe mode.

If you can't figure it out, the easiest way to solve the problem is to just do a restore...
