ZiPhone GUI - Searches for iphone...
iRecovery - does not find it
DFU mode - does 3 beeps when in DFU mode but still doesent show up in anything

Before i got that i got error 13 in itunes.

You "tried" to upgrade to 4.0? Is your UDID registered?

And I hear many people have trouble restoring their iDevices on Windows 7. You may have to restore it on another computer to 3.1.X.

You say iRecovery isnt finding it, you MUST have libUSB installed for iRecovery to recognise it.

On windows 7 32-bit you must install it in compatability mode for windows xp

You want OS 4? You MUST register your UDID (as "leadergo" said).

You want 3.1.2 back? If DFU/iRecovery/ZiPhone etc. doesn't work, try xCode to downgrade. Good luck!

xCode i need UDID and i didnt have one but now i know i need one.

I will try to see if it comes up on windows XP once i get a computer with that, still, any methods of restoring when the computer doesent reconize it?.

    Edit:
Solved problem, the ipod USB driver on windows 7 was having problems. Since i dualbooted my system i just restored on windows vista.
