alright well last night i tried jailbreaking my ipod touch 1 generation 2.2.1 and while restoreing it on itunes to 2.2 firmware something went wrong.
my ipod went into recovery mode and now itunes wont detect it at all, and when i connect it to my computer it says new hardware has been found and that i need to install it.
and then when i click in it tell me to put in a cd with the right drivers for my device.
i have no cd and i dont know where to get the drivers.
i have also tried connecting to to itunes by turning it off then back on holding the power button untill it turns back on and then holding home at the same time till it turns back off and then just holding home. itune then detects it but after a while of it saying waiting for ipod it says error 1604.
i have updated itunes and tried to connect again.
i have uninstalled and all that numerous times.
i have tryed about everything and nothing has helpeed me.
can anyone tell me what to do to get this thing out of recovery mode.
i want my ipod back up and running instead of haveing a very expensive paper weaight
please can anyone help me and no my ipod was not jailbroken before this i was in the process of trying to i restored it off itunes when this happed
