    Please help me,
I have a jailbroken 2.2.1 ipod touch and I cant get it out of dfu/recovery mode (i don't know whitch). I turned my ipod off and i was trying to boot it back up and i guess somehow i put it in recovery mode. I tryed to boot it back up but it wont respond. i try with just holding the lock button and i also try holding the home button and the lock button. I know i probably could just restore it but i dont want to loose the stuff that i installed from cydia. So if anyone knows how to resolve this without restoring it, please respond a.s.a.p.
    Thanks

What I did was leave it alone, not connected to a power source, over night; then in the morning I plugged it in and it worked. It may not work for you but it worked for me.

How can you not tell the difference?
Recovery has something on the screen. DFU doesn't.

Try holding both home and power for 10-15 seconds, and see if it boots back up.

Hold home + power for 20 seconds or 30. Then release and hold home for 5.

    Then tell me what happens.

Put it into DFU Mode. Then Restore it.

What were you using? Redsn0w tethered? That's the only thing I know of that does that.
