Hi guys. I'm well and truly screwed and I'm hoping to get some help here. A couple of weeks ago, I unlocked my 2G ipod Touch using this video (tethered):

So today a friend of mine accidentally turned off my ipod but I figured, no problem, I'll just reboot it according to instructions. I got it into DFU mode (I think). The screen was black, but the white screen never came. I've tried everything I could think of, I spent hours googling. Now Itunes isn't recognizing my ipod and I have no idea what to do. I just want to get it working again! I've been trying for 4 hours and I'm exhausted. I hope I haven't bricked it! Thanks for any help given!

I found these instructions in another thread:
    Step 1

lug in your iPod to your computer
Step 2: Hold down home button for 5 seconds
Step 3: Don't let go of home button, and press power button for 10 seconds
Step 4: Release power button and just hold home for 30 seconds.

and itunes finally detected my ipod. I clicked restore but i got this message:
Software for this ipod is currently not available. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes and try again.

I have the latest version btw. I tried to restore it to the custom ipsw but I got error 1601.
