The other day i got an ipod touch first gen that seemed to have been jailbroken ( my friend gave it to me ). Being the idiot I was, i decided to go into the settings and restore everything.

After it finished that, it seems to be in a loop of the pineapple screen. I have no idea what firmware it is or anything.

I have tried the restoring methods many times, restarted, uninstalled itunes, but all i get is a pineapple, restarting ipod and a Steve jobs saying something in russian and the itunes saying
it could not restore because of an unknown error (1611)

I am sorry if this has been posed before, but i could not find anything like it.

I read from the sticky that its near impossible to brick an ipod, but im stumped

EDIT!!! : I got it to work now...
I just used my dads laptop and restored it, and for some reason it worked perfectly fine then...
    I guess it hates me..

keep on holding the home key it shoud go DFU, then attach your USN cable to you computer and hit restore.
of done correctly, a driver will be seen installing the your taskbar
