stuck at boot

    I was on my ipod touch today, and all the sudden apps started crashing. So i rebooted and it has been stuck at the boot screen for 10 min, help?

    You should hold both Power and Home for 15 seconds and only Power for 2. That clears a bunch of variables and may let it boot. Otherwise, NOR only restore.

    yeah... the thing is i am on a mac, and don't want to install libusb. i originally jailbroke on my old windows.

    You don't need LibUSB to NOR only either. What is your point?

    Wait so a nor-only restore can be accomplished by simply doing the shift-restore thing? On any computer? No libusb? At all? For real?

    It isn't the words. Its the ideas. You cannot jailbreak without a full restore to a full pwned firmware on 2.x.x. You could on 1.x.x, but not now, and never on an iPod Touch 2G.
