    Fire Fly Media Server

Well - confirmed it works well ..

now I just need a good reason to use it .. coz one escapes me at the moment.

Using Ulctl to turn the server on & off

    HELPFUL HINT:

QUOTE: TUAW Reader Jonathan adds: "Safari redirects to /beta/. I bypassed that by going into installer.app's sources page and manually adding http://home.mike.tl/iphone. Installer picked it up right away, and it's building my music database now. " END QUOTE

PS: goes without saying - this is a "battery killer" -- not sure how long battery will last with wireless on / streaming music ...

Personally, I'd plug it into my USB and stream it to the laptop right beside it. This way I can have access to music on it, but not on my harddrive

I had this up and running, but then deleted it because I had problems with my ipod synching (I think this was another issue), anyways, so I don't have to re-install it, I was wondering.... Is it possible to copy music over from the ipods shared directory into the itunes music directory? That would make this a great application for sharing itunes music with freinds. Can someone try it and let me know? Thanks.

    This drains battery like a....!

UIctl is a must for disabling this thing when it's not in use.
