This morning I turned on my non jail broken 2g ipod touch and plugged it into my computer, i went away had a shower, got ready for school etc and came back to find my ipod screen still had the apple logo and strange pink code or lines on my screen. It took me 3 resets to get it back to the icon screen.
What is this, why did it appear?

I could be wrong, but its a classic symptom of improperly plugged FFCs. By no means freak out over it. If you can make it go away, then your cool. But if it happens again I'd call apple and get a new iPod. mmm shiney
