Yes, but I would warn you. If you have to restore then all of your songs are gone. And you would have to re download them.

My recommendation: DO NOT DELETE THEM INCASE YOU HAVE TO RESTORE.

Yup. That's why I recommended him to keep the songs on his HDD.

no it wouldn't be removed. i usually delete music off my hdd to conserve space. the music was already added to the itunes list and was already in the ipod so why would it get removed? however deleting the music off your hdd prevents you from editing the music in your itunes (like album art, etc) and restoring would delete all your music.

Or maybe... just buy an external HD and save all of your worries. I just bought a 1TB drive because I filled up my 500GB drive and the 1TB was only £78. So you know, just do that?

Do you auto sync? If you delete songs from your iTunes Library, they go from your iPod too!

if you purchased the music from itunes next time you plug in the iPod itunes will ask to import purchases from your iPod and then all your music will be back

*** IF YOU PIRATED THE MUSIC THIS WILL NOT WORK!!!!! ***
