just kidding he hates it i dont think he said anything about it but the whole stance of apple personal against jailbreaking and 3rd party apps is pretty obvious.

I don't think that we can make assumptions about his personal views, but speaking from the business side of things he probably doesn't support them because they allow you to do things for free that he could otherwise sell.

Someone asked Steve Jobs about it at MacWorld

The guy said what is your view on third party applications:

    He responds
    *laughs*
It will always be a cat and mouse game with them and us, we will make an update, they will defeat it, we will make another update and it will keep going on and on.

I gotta say that's 100% true. With the iPhone SDK out and the feature to download applications made by third party programmers, we can say that Steve Jobs is definitely against third party applications that will be distributed for free.

I'm really guessing that before the first third party applications roll out, there will be at least a major update that will first allow people to download and purchase these applications from Apple perhaps through iTunes or on the iPod/iPhone itself and create another update that will totally destroy the current jailbreak and Installer functionality... that is... until some talented coder bypasses everything, restarting the cycle once again.
