Just read on BBC news site breaking news ticker. Thought i'd just let you Steve Jobs fans know

Apple chief executive Steve Jobs is being treated for a "hormone imbalance" but is staying on as the firms CEO.

In a statement, Jobs said he had been suffering from ill health for a number of months.

"I have been losing weight throughout 2008...doctors think they have found the cause: a hormone imbalance that has been robbing me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy," said Jobs.

Apple's board said they were giving Jobs "complete and unwavering support."

Edit: Might be in the wrong section not sure

I'm glad to hear that he's going to maintain his CEO position.

+1. He also said, that it's the first time in a decade that he got to celebrate Christmas with his family, instead of preparing for a MacWorld. I just hope he does recover.

thats rather sad not being able to spend xmas with his family. You would think he could take 1 day off.
